Pretend you’re in school and you have a test coming up and you absolutely need to get an A+ to pass the class. You literally cannot afford to fail this exam.
You can choose one of two approaches:
Approach 1 – Study all of your books and notes really hard, map out all of the subjects, topics, ideas & scenarios, ask all of your friends what they think and compare notes, hope you’ve covered everything, stress out like crazy, take the exam, guess at the tricky ones, hope you get a passing grade.
Approach 2 – Ask the teacher for the answer key, copy the answer key, get 100% correct.
Which approach would you choose?
‘Obviously the second one… but that’s cheating!’
Unfortunately in school, they do call that “cheating”. In school, you’ve been through 12-18 years of: Don’t talk to your neighbor, don’t talk to strangers, do all the work yourself, having the answers would be ‘unfair’.
Fortunately, for entrepreneurs, those rules don’t apply in the business world.
In the business world, the ONLY way to be successful is to talk to your target market, find out what they want, go out and get it and give it to them.
You’re also allowed to borrow what’s already working from other companies and delegate work to smarter people.

It’s just like asking the teacher exactly what to write on an essay to get an A, then writing that. You literally can’t lose.”
